Our Mission

Empowered by the Holy Spirit and in joyful response to God's call, we are a community united in faith and love.  In Christ's name we are a commissioned to proclaim the Kingdom of God by our words and actions.  We are called to serve each other and all people, strengthening and equipping our members for these tasks through education and support.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

John 3:16-17

Our Beliefs

We believe that God loves all that He has made and that Jesus is our salvation.

We believe that salvation cannot be earned. It is a gift of grace, received through faith, that God has given out of love for each and every one of us.  It is through the Cross of Christ that we are brought to everlasting life.

We believe that God reveals His Word, His Law and His Gospel through the Bible.

We believe that every human has value. Created in God’s image, our worth is dependent not on accomplishments, but on God’s love. Christ on the Cross tells us that God indeed loves us beyond our own comprehension.

We believe in and anticipate the return of Jesus Christ, proclaiming His death until He comes. Christ has died. Christ has risen. Christ will come again.

We believe that there are two sacraments:  Baptism and Holy Communion.

Holy Communion
In the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, we receive the true presence of Christ in His body and blood for the forgiveness of sins.  All are welcome at the Lord’s Table.

Baptism
In the sacrament of Baptism, we are called and claimed as children of God. Through God’s Word and ordinary water, we receive the extraordinary gift of new life.

He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. - Titus 3:5
